Wrekin Remaps – Terms & Conditions of Service
Including Disclaimer of Liability

All clients must read, understand, and complete the format the end of this document prior to any work being undertaken.

1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) set out the basis on which Wrekin Remaps (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides vehicle remapping and related services to you, the customer (“you” or “Client”).
1.2 By engaging our services, you confirm that you understand and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full.

2. Vehicle Condition and Responsibility

2.1 You warrant that your vehicle is in full working mechanical and electrical order at the time of booking and presentation.
2.2 Wrekin Remaps reserves the right to refuse to carry out any service should we identify a mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic issue with the vehicle, including fault codes or warning lights.
2.3 If a health check or data logging session is requested prior to remapping, this must be booked separately and may incur additional charges.

3. Liability and Disclaimer

3.1 Wrekin Remaps shall not be held liable for:
• Any post-remap mechanical or electrical failure of vehicle components, including but not limited to turbochargers, injectors, clutches, flywheels, engines, gearboxes, DPFs, EGR valves, sensors, or boost leaks.
• Any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to downtime, loss of income, or inconvenience.
• Loss of stored data (including radio codes) or manufacturer settings during the remap process.
• Any loss, damage, or claim arising from the failure to notify your insurer of modifications.
• The impact on any existing manufacturer or third-party vehicle warranty.

3.2 You acknowledge that remapping increases engine performance and may reveal pre-existing faults or weaknesses in your vehicle’s systems or components.
3.3 Remapping services involving the removal, bypassing, or modification of emissions-related controls (e.g. DPF, EGR, GPF, or catalytic converter) are carried out strictly on the basis that the vehicle will be used off-road only. Wrekin Remaps accepts no liability for any illegal road use of such modified vehicles.

4. Performance and Fuel Economy

4.1 Quoted power and torque gains are indicative only and may vary due to vehicle age, mileage, condition, environment, or manufacturer tolerances.
4.2 Fuel economy improvements depend on factors such as driving style, vehicle condition, tyre pressure, load weight, and service history.

5. Client Obligations

5.1 You are responsible for:
• Informing your insurance provider of all vehicle modifications.
• Maintaining your vehicle through regular servicing and the use of quality fuel and parts.
• Ensuring no third-party work is carried out to rectify alleged faults from the remap without first contacting Wrekin Remaps.
• Bringing your vehicle back to us for fault diagnosis or removal of the remap if necessary.

5.2 Wrekin Remaps does not undertake road testing beyond legal speed limits and makes no representations regarding 0–60 mph or similar performance metrics.

6. Warranty and Refund Policy

6.1 Wrekin Remaps offers a limited warranty on the remap file itself, ensuring it is within safe operational tolerances. This warranty:
• Applies only to the original customer and vehicle.
• Is non-transferable between owners or vehicles.

6.2 Refunds or part-refunds will only be issued at Wrekin Remaps’ discretion and subject to the following:

Within 30 Days of Remap:

• If you are dissatisfied and return the vehicle within 30 days, we may remove the remap, restore the original file, and offer a refund excluding any installation or diagnostic charges.
• Vehicles with physical modifications (e.g. DPF/EGR/DECAT/FLAPS deletes) are not eligible for refunds.

After 30 Days:
• Returning your vehicle after 30 days will incur a charge of 50% of the original cost to restore to stock. No refund will be issued.

If a Fault Develops Post-Remap:
• If a fault arises and is not related directly to the remap, we will remove the map free of charge in most cases, but no refund will be issued.
• Re-installation of the remap after repair is subject to Wrekin Remaps’ discretion and may incur a time-based fee.

6.3 We will not accept liability for:
• Any work carried out by third parties without prior notice to us.
• Any associated costs, mechanical bills, or independent diagnostics unless pre-approved by Wrekin Remaps.

7. Payment Terms

7.1 Payment is due immediately upon completion of work.
7.2 Where a remap is not completed due to vehicle faults, a callout fee will still apply.
7.3 We reserve the right to apply charges for removal and reinstallation of remaps in accordance with Clause 6.

8. Refusal of Service

8.1 Wrekin Remaps reserves the absolute right to refuse service to any person or vehicle, at any time, without justification.

9. Amendments

9.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will be provided on request and will supersede all previous versions.

10. Client Declaration

By adding your details in the form below and submitting it you confirm that you:

• Have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
• Are legally entitled to request remapping services on the vehicle in question.
• Accept full responsibility for all consequences arising from the remap, including legal, financial, and mechanical implications.
